Advanced Riding Skills - 3rd of August (BALLINASTOE)
Ride Technical Terrain with Confidence – Build Race-Ready Skills
Whether you’re chasing race results or just want to feel more in control on rough terrain, this course will help you improve your technique, gain confidence, and ride faster with less effort.
What you’ll learn:
Body Positioning over roots, rocks, and drops for maximum grip and stability
Drop-Offs – how to ride them confidently and carry speed
Pumping – generating trail speed without pedalling
Cornering – line choice, braking control, and body positioning for faster exits
What to bring:
Full face helmet, gloves and knee pads, mandatory.
A bike in good working order (ideally a full suspension bike), E-Bikes are welcome.
Water and food (energy bar, sandwich, fruit, or something similar).
What to expect:
We’ll start by dialling in your body position to maximise traction and control.
From there, we’ll hit the trails to break down drop-offs step-by-step, learn to generate free speed through pumping, and sharpen your cornering skills with focused drills and feedback.
We’ll finish with a relaxed Q&A session to make sure all your questions are answered and you’re clear on how to keep progressing after the course.
Location: Ballinastoe MTB Trails
Time: 9:00 to 12:00.
Minimum age: 13
